OUR HISTORY
RJB Projects was founded in 2002 by John Butler. John is an enthusiastic and friendly individual who loves nature and the outdoors. He is a natural problem solver. Even as a young boy he would pull apart the broken lawnmowers to see how they worked, and spent countless hours playing with his Meccano set.
A passion for engineering was ignited when he visited the Tugela Pumped Storage Scheme whilst in high school and saw the impressive underground power station deep inside the Drakensberg mountains. He went on to obtain his engineering degree from the University of KwaZulu Natal and a business degree from UNISA. He worked in the United States for two years before settling down in Kloof with his wife and three sons.
John has an open leadership style and a desire to learn and improve every day. He loves to work with clients and meet new people. He considers a project a success if his client is happy, the design is simple yet effective and if his staff have enjoyed working on the project. John leads his team with an infectious “can-do” attitude and embodies everything that RJB Projects stands for.
